...so don't forget to pray to St. Nicholas (especially the kids) on Monday, when we celebrate the wonderful Bishop!
We are planning on going to the service at a church named for St. Nicholas that has a special HUGE icon of the saint that was mysteriously 'given' to the church a long time ago.
Justin is freaking out - he remembers last year, putting toys in his shoes for those kids who don't have nice things and praying that night to the saint for guidance, help and protection. The next morning, he had a nice Orthodox gift (a book on St. Nick) with a toy and a letter from the saint.
He's anxiously awaiting his treat this year. Which reminds me, the Godkids need a 'note' from St. Nicholas too! Yikes! We've got a few of them little Godkids, so I'd best be getting home to write to these young 'uns! Even St. Nicholas needs help now and again.
Don't forget this special nameday - and treat those you know with the great name "Nicholas" to a hearty "Happy Name Day! And may God grant you many years!" -- no matter what!
