Okay, where was I?

I'm going through my studio and garage space as of late, and haven't been painting at all. That has to change with the holidays coming up and shows for 2005.

Get crackin' girl!

I may be moving to another house sooner than later, although I won't know for sure until tomorrow. This will be a good thing for the family and the garage has a little 'studio' area with a divider wall. Sounds perfect for me!

I've started a Melalucea site at: www.nino.nontoxichomes.info -- these products are totally environmentally friendly, non toxic/no fumes, and actually WORK. If it wasn't for my doctor asking me to get into non toxic home products, I would have never bothered to research it. I'm so happy I found this stuff - it's cheaper than Sam's Club or Costco stuff, you get more and it's good for you and the house you live in.

What could be better than that - especially if you have kids like I do.

Sold the LUTHER BURBANK GREENHOUSE painting

...tonight! Wow! That was fast...didn't even make it to the show in January. Oh well, I was planning a garden series from that same area for the showing - so now I'll have to do three or four paintings of that gorgeous area in order to make it into the show.

A good friend of mine stopped by tonight and saw my new paintings in the living room (the gallery I call it!) and she said it was a nice painting. I thought she was just commenting on it, but then she said "how much for it?" and the painting was sold! I asked her if I could keep it for a week to get it photographed properly (the pic on the site is by me and pretty dark) and she agreed.

Wow! I like selling paintings...motivates me to do more. Also, we're looking for a new place to live in this area with a garage, attached - for my paintings. I think I'm onto something - we'll find out this weekend if it's up to our healthy and clean standard!

New Paintings up on the site

Now I have two quickie photos of the newer paintings that are still on display at the local Harvest Festival (wine and art show). Hopefully when I get them back tonight (unless they sell), my photographer friend will be able to take good photos of them for the site.

But, that's all we've got for now - my photos!

These two didn't win any placements or awards this time - but I'm not so sure about their placements in this contest to be honest with you. A mixed media 'landscape' won the division with some 'professional' placements from the last Fair in the amateur section this round (???) not sure what the deal is here, but someone's fishing for awards I think.

Well, I know what the judges like for both showings and know what to enter in next year. On to the next showing...here we go!
