Today's article...

http://lifestyle.msn.com/HomeandGarden/Home/Article.aspx?cp-documentid=156816&GT1=7464

This is about a family in Chicago (no, not my Jenn) regarding TOO MUCH decorations for the holidays...I had to laugh, I mean, the last time I checked it was a FREE country. Do what you want AND I'm all for it - hey, I have a four year old that loves this stuff! Someone wants to hang all that stuff up and pay for their huge PG&E bill? Fine with us!

I've always LOVED Christmas lights anyways -- so DECORATE ON!

Save ONE couple that we may or may not see on Christmas Eve/Morning, I'm happy to report that the Parks clan is done with the shopping for Christmas. DONE! Finally.

Today I accidentally wished someone a Merry Christmas (a kid) and his mother (a co-worker of mine) said "Um, we don't DO Christmas"...to which the kid said, "BUT I still get my presents!!!" with a cute grin on his face! I laughed, but felt bad for the kid. NO Christmas, no nothing - they don't practice anything. Period. A world with no Christ? No God? No Love? Gotta be awful.

Anyhow, I have a feeling that the commercialism of Christmas can be GOOD in a way for kids like that - I mean, he KNOWS about it and why we do Christmas and well, it may be the first step in a knowledge of God in someway down the line for him.

Maybe? Only God knows.

Merry Christmas to all!!!!

I wish that were my house! I'm of the "the more lights the merrier" camp. I'm bummed that I live on Bah Humbug Lane right now and we're one of three houses on the whole block that are even remotely decorated. C'mon people!!!! (of course our house is the cutest!)

The Merry Christmas thing is sad. I say it to everyone and nobody has said anything. The nice GReek guy at our fav Greek restaurant was wishing Patrick a MErry Christmas (btw, Nino, Sam has officially been replaced by this guy.)

So, what did you get CParks? Towels, I bet. (LOL)

Did you see the article about this house? http://www.komar.org/cgi-bin/xmas_webcam Maybe there's more than one, but you can go and mess with this family's Christmas decorations via internet. Pretty cool.

I got CParks a three disc collection of all the Johnny Cash music - but then found out that "Ring of Fire" wasn't on it!!! What a bummer! It's only his best song EVER...oh well!

I'm still trying to find the PERFECT towels...normal and BIG towels for CParks and myself with a kids' towel set (or 3 of them) for JP.

I had kids towels growing up and LOVED THEM -- and you knew which towel was yours to dirty up.

What did you get for Christmas???
